Be There for the World Premiere of Paper Birds

Mark your calendars: Saturday, April 11th marks the world premiere of Paper Birds at Millersville University!!

I’ve been working on this project for half a decade now—it’s weird to see that in writing. The film is 30 minutes and follows my own journey dealing with fragmented memories of trauma and the delayed onset of PTSD. My hope is that it will fill a gap in media representation for survivors, and spark reflection on how we recover and the lens in which we view mental health.

Inspired by that goal, a panel will be held following the screening highlighting how trauma shows up in our lives and various paths toward healing. There will also be some local organizations and university resources on-site tabling to connect with attendees.

This event is FREE and open to everyone. If you’re in or around Lancaster that weekend, consider stopping by—I’d love to see you there! 🙂 Here’s what you need to know:
